April 17th, 2020: Praying While Not Knowing
Many things are happening in the world today that I don't understand. Many voices are crying out to be heard and I cannot fully discern their messages. There are many things that we need to respond and we just don't know how. Our mind is overloaded with information. Our heart is overwhelming by various emotions. Our spirit is troubled because of the immense suffering of the world.
Sometimes we wish we can just have a moment of stillness so that we can become more in touch with what is truly important. What is important? That is when discovering the writing in Philippians 4:6-7 is helpful during such a time like this. I find myself surrendering to God when praying this prayer. Please join me if you are able. Have a blessed weekend.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
