March 3rd, 2021: Being Lifted Up

How Jesus Being Lifted Up Impacts Your Life - emeryhorvath.com

How we are going to be deal with failures in life is crucial step for us  to learn to understand and accept  grace. I read recently about three new concepts of looking at negative things that happens to us.

Fail: First Attempt in Learning.

Sometimes our good intention does not bring about good outcomes. We fail miserably at times by trying to do good. We need to discern our motives and learn how to move on from these moments of failure. Remember that God's grace is greater than anything in life.

End: Effort Never Dies

Sometimes we feel as if things are finished because we fail. It looks as if our attempt to bring something good into a situation is going to end badly. Our good effort will not die although it does not always bring good fruit at the first try. Remember that God cares about what is in our heart more than our successes.

No: New Opportunities

When we understand failure properly we might see new opportunities. We don't look at what stops us as a push back. We begin to gain the bigger picture of life by having to stop. We gain new awareness of ourselves and others. We gather our thoughts and we pray.

Now we discover the meaning of being lifted up. God does that to us by allowing us to fail, ending some of ways life and saying no to us.

Psalm 40: 2

"He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along."
