March 6th. 2021: Our Foolishness

 Wisdom or Foolishness? | Kids Answers

We experience a small victory with an immense blessing this week. You remember the story of a young couple who was considering having an abortion a few months ago. They decided to keep the baby, and mom gave birth to a beautiful daughter a few days ago. The father quietly told me that he is grateful for my conversations with him about keeping the child.

We have heard the word "systemic" a lot these days. People somehow use that word to indicate that they are progressive and free from bias. They claim that they stand for justice. We need to be aware of another form of systemic behavior that has been displayed and applauded sometimes by the same folks. The systemic destruction of family structure, biblical moral values, and common human decency in human life.

However, complaining won't help and solve any problem. I have some talks recently with some people about how we are going to counter those lies. We need to do that by serving and providing care for others sacrificially. Most people will engage in meaningful conversations with one another if there is a caring gesture in that interaction. Boys and girls can use the same washrooms in schools. A man can decide to be a woman or vice versa. Men and women can go around practice their sexual freedom while using abortion as a form of birth control and claiming their rights by doing so. Organizations cannot use the terms father or mother on their membership applications. Parents cannot offer counsel and help to their children concerning their sexuality and more. All of that might happen, and yet nothing will erase people's needs for food, shelter, acceptance, and protection.

As long as one group of people claims that they stand for absolute justice, we deal with unjust behavior. None of us is perfect, and we should have the humility to learn to accept that. We all screw up, and that is the truth. The worst screw-up in human history is the dismantling of the fundamental family structure. There is no justice in that.

Jeremiah 4: 22

"For My people are foolish,

They know Me not;

They are stupid children

And have no understanding.

They are shrewd to do evil,

But to do good they do not know."
