April 3rd, 2021: The Offer is There, The Choice is Ours

My brother-in-law, a professor in English in Michigan, wrote this after his second shot of vaccination.

"Second jab complete! I can feel the government-guided genetic implants starting to make me more docile by the minute. LoL. Get some!"

He says that tongue in cheek. Some people, I know, believe that governments around the world will use these new vaccines to monitor people, to control them, to track them, to monitor their behavior, and to make them compliant.

We were talking about trying to get a vaccine this time last year. Now we have more than one, and people are wondering whether they are going to get one. Honestly, I am not surprised by the responses.

Let us look at the most severe pandemic we have to deal with as humans, our spiritual corruption and insistence of sin. Our sinful condition has many variants. It attacks and damages many parts of our well-being spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. During Easter, we celebrate God's antidote for that. We still have to make our choices of whether we want to  accept it or not. We use our intelligence, our deception, and our desire to be in control to disregard our needs to be vaccinated from sin.

Romans 6: 23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
