May 12th, 2021: A New Beginning...
It is time to swap out tires where I am. We put our winter tires away and put on our all-season tires. We do that for fuel efficiency and safety. Many of us have been praying that there will be a change in seasons in terms of Covid-19. We are hoping that by the end of this year, life will be back somewhat to normalcy. What is that going to be?
Tire change doesn't mean a change in driving habits. Some of the bad ones continue regardless of the season of our driving condition. Are we going to change the way we treat and care for our seniors in this country? There was indeed an outcry last year about how inhumane we treated our seniors. There is a lot of talks, and talk is cheap.
We don't just change tires. We have to check the condition and the integrity of the new set of tires. Getting over Covid-19 does not mean that we have our integrity intact. There has been so much controversy and confusion when it comes to leadership or the lack thereof. So the integrity of our leaders is still in question. Lies and deceit have been put under the blanket of Covid-19. The new season might require more changes than just tires. Our search for integrity continues.
There is no surprise that tires are on special at many stores and automobile services at this time of the year. The demand is there. Some of the specials are more genuine than others. There will be a good number of opportunities for businesses as nations begin to rebuild themselves. Some are good ones, and some are just fake. We need to have the discernment to sort through all of that. We choose a set of new tires not just based on prices. The reputation and quality of service of the provider have to be part of the equation. Growth with consistency and integrity is needed after this mess is over.
Ezekiel 11: 9
"I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh."
Isaiah 40: 31
"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. "
