Aug 1st, 2021: God's Beauty via Skybridges

My wife and I walked across the highest Suspension bridge in Canada yesterday. Skybridges are in Golden, BC. It is about five hours from our home. We decided to do this to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Crazy huh?

Here is the official description of BC Tourism which I find pretty accurate:

"As you perch 426 feet above an expansive canyon, engulfed by the Columbia Valley, the epic views from Golden’s newest, the must-visit attraction will take your breath away. The Golden Skybridge rewards with views of the Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges like you’ve never seen before, while a crashing river and 200-foot waterfall thunders below."

It was a very courageous exercise for my wife because she is uncomfortable with high. She suggested that we did this. She has decided that she needs to confront that fear. The first time was walking up the Eiffel Tower in Paris in 2015.

We decided that we need to get away after more than a year of shut down. It was an amazing experience to be in touch with the beauty of God in nature. His creation is breathtaking, and we need to take the time to appreciate it. It was good to be free from all of the hassles that have come long with Covid-19.

Life is about having the freedom and the opportunity to appreciate how God has been with us. Walking across the bridge reminded me that every single step we take in life is one with faith. We crossed the bridge with excitement as well. We would embrace the experience more fully if we didn't go through the bridge too quickly. Our whole life is a bridge that connects us from the Alpha and the Omega. It is high, challenging, and meaningful. That is how we live between what we know and what we have not yet known.

Ecclesiastes 3:11  “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”
