Oct 3rd, 2021: To Do Thy Will


Here is the verse for Oct 3rd from the same devotion book by Billy Graham I mentioned a few days ago.

"Teach me to do thy will." (Psalm 143:10)

Sometimes I wonder why God bothers to involve us in His work because we most likely will screw it up and fail. It might be less hassle if we are not part of His plan.

He wants us to discover the purpose He has for us in our lives. It is a divine concept manifested in human life. We learn to have a more meaningful relationship with Him as we pray more earnestly. We l

Learning to be in prayers without ceasing develops a strong sense of our awareness of God's presence within and around us. We pray with a bigger picture in mind, and that helps us to overcome our self-pity. The more we pray, the more we discover the meaning of God's written words.

Embracing the need to belong to a community of faith is a sign of growth. It is more than being a church member. It is about having our fellowship with other believers and the commitment to grow together in faith. We need to encourage our community to have a global understanding of God.

The keyword is here is "Teach". What lesson are we learning from God as we go about living with Him and serving one another?
