Dec 1st, 2021: Kindness

I already went to my Christmas party for 2021. I have a hunch that many businesses have decided to have them earlier this year just in case the new variant creates another shutdown. It is rather strange to live in a time of uncertainty. As a society, we are far more divided.

It is time for us to rediscover kindness. Here is my definition of kindness:

"Know what is good and beneficial for others, offer it before they ask"

Kindness will help us see things that we might have overlooked otherwise. It opens our eyes to the needs of others. It guides us to a place we don't want to be.

Kindness doesn't seek evil in others. It helps us discover the hidden beauty in others. It does not care about privileges. It has more concerns about what others need.

Kindness helps our hearts to be tender while seeking answers to many difficult questions. It does not bring judgment upon others. Kindness longs for a true sense of togetherness. It is after the heart of God.

Kindness is a loving expression to someone. It is how we identify with God as a servant. It enhances confidence in others. It can bring about tremendous healing to someone's life.

Colossians 3: 12-13
"Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive."

Proverbs 31: 26
"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue."
