Dec 2nd, 2021: We Are Not Alone
Have you heard someone who says: "It's hard to believe it is already December?". Time has gone by so fast for some and so slow for others in many ways. Life has its own new set of routines for us. That doesn't help us keep track of time. For some time, every day seems to be the same for some of us. Yet, Christmas is approaching.
Christmas has different meanings for different people. However, most people would acknowledge that it is time for families and friends to come together. It depends on what we celebrate and what we would cherish during this time.
It reminds me that we are not alone in this world because God has chosen to be one among us. As we witness various events that have taken place in the world today, that knowledge alone brings me a lot of comforts.
It reveals to us that God is not indifferent toward human pains and struggles. We know that we cannot redeem ourselves, and Christmas is the beginning of the promise of redemption. We discover a new sense of freedom when we embrace that.
It helps us understand the true meaning of love when it comes to sacrificing oneself. Jesus has no catchy slogan in His ministry. He signifies his life with His utmost obedience and commitment to the Father's plan for him.
Have a great time getting ready for Christmas, and remember that it is about life.
Philippians 2:8-10
"And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth."
