Jan 10th, 2022: Unwise Words in Challenging Time
Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, called the anti-vaxxers, as “often” being women-haters, racists, and science-deniers a few days ago. His speech was full of hate. Mr. Trudeau has often talked about the practice of diversity and the fight for the marginalized. His reaction is unfortunate because it will solidify the stand of these folks who have taken their position that the government is full of lies.
I am vaccinated. However, I have many good and educated friends who have decided not to be vaccinated. Here are the lies from the Prime Minister.
Being women haters: none of them fits that description of people I know. Many of them are loving husbands, fathers, and hard-working folks. It is pure ignorance to call these folks that. Using the language of hate to provoke division is not a sign of wise leadership.
Being racists: It is convenient for the extreme liberals to use the label of racism as their card when they accuse others who do not share their views. My friends are not racists. Many of them have been working hard to work against oppression in our society. Once again, calling them racist reflects the true reflection of discrimination.
Science deniers: science is not the complete truth. Our study of science is always our quest for the truth. Therefore, there can be many perspectives as we discuss our understanding of science. I might disagree with some anti-vaxxers, but I do not think they are science deniers. They happen to disagree with me, and that is fair game.
1 Corinthians 3: 18
"Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise."
John 16: 13
"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come."
