Jan 25th, 2022: Enough is Enough

I have listened to many immigrants and refugees, who recently moved to Canada, about their reasons to leave their homelands. For many of them, it is about the future of their children generations. It is about having hope and opportunities to have a decent life. Many of them left war impacted homes, discrimination, and poverty to seek a new life here. The first generation is the one that has to pay the price and pave the way.

I have also listened to many parents who have serious concerns about the future that their children have to face. Some are afraid of the lack of hope and opportunities for their kids because they believe that the governments intend to kill small businesses by taking advantage of the pandemic. Some are more concerned about the direction we are heading morally. Some express skepticism about the kind of education their children get in school.

It is time for God-fearing men and women to stand up and say enough is enough. We cannot overcome economic poverty by killing small businesses. Spiritual poverty will continue to have its influence when we decide to ignore God in the education of our children. We need a new generation of leaders to lead the way for the spiritual recovery of our nations. We need thoughtful and discerning leaders who are not self-serving, fear God, and lead with godly examples. It is time to depend on the prompting of God's Spirit instead of talking points.

In some ways, some of us have felt as if this has become a foreign land to us. Yet, we choose to stay here, and we will have to pay the price.

Ephesians 4:18

"Being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts."
