May 7th, 2021: Work-LIfe Balance
We have heard from many businesses who claim that they promote Work-Life Balance. It is a noble aim, and yet it is not that easy to practice it. Work-Life Balance demands more commitments from the ownership, the leadership, and the employees. The fundamental truth is businesses need to consider both families of their employees and their personal well-being.
Work-Life Balance comes from the acknowledgment that employees are gifts of God to the businesses. It is the responsibility to make sure that they are safe and productive when they come to work, and they are attentive and present when they return to their families. It is about a commitment to a holistic approach toward working with employees.
Work-Life Balance always brings more commitments from employees to the mandates of the business. It secures their desire to stay long-term because they know that they will grow by doing their work and be protected. Work-Life Balance creates meaning because people will not experience burned out. Being burn out is not a biblical concept.
Work-Life Balance makes it possible for people to grow in the appreciation of the love of God for them. Why so many PKs and MKs end up leaving the faith of their parents? They witness how the Church and the Mission abuse their parents. Work-Life Balance is one of the best ways businesses contribute to building a content society. Many forms of abuse will surface when we lose our ability to maintain it.

Be wise enough to know when to quit."
